The ‘Squat’ is the perfect space for a self-directed creative retreat. Originally the building was the first Bank of New South Wales in the town. The studio was the bank, and the attached cottage was the manager’s home. Many of the original features are still observable in the layers of time.

In the lounge is an open fire and a comfy old leather sofa – they make a great pair to relax with at the end of the day. The cottage walls showcase artworks of past residents. The studio spaces are plentiful and it’s up to you how you arrange them. The main studio has a white wall for hanging.
